JACKLETTS FARMHOUSE

Built over 100 years ago and extended in the 1950’s, 1960’s and 1970’s, Jacklett’s farmhouse is a real mixture of form and construction techniques.

The design seeks to unify the spaces that have evolved through the decades. A two storey extension provides a new double bedroom and an ensuite to the master bedroom at first floor. At ground floor a new garden room flows off of the existing kitchen and dining space and out onto a raised external western terrace. We have vaulted the ceiling above the existing dining area and added skylights for better natural light and to create a sense of grandeur.
